Location Intelligence Conference - 17./18. April 2007, San Francisco

Conference Objective
The Location Intelligence Conference is focused on the "business of location technology." In particular it focuses on how to make or save money from implementing the technology within your organization.
When companies save millions of dollars everyday using location technology in mobile workforce management, customer retention, or market analysis, word gets out.
Consumers are using location technology for social networking, personal navigation, leisure, and security. Business models for these services are in place and people are subscribing at ever increasing rates.
Software solution providers, systems integrators, telecommunications companies, and Internet providers now include business units that develop location-enabling applications that drive business process improvements on many levels.
Combined, these market segments are pushing location technology through a critical stage as it moves from an early adopter environment into a high growth period.
Location technology itself is evolving as desktop applications move to the web, open source software will become an alternative because of its perceived lower cost, and content providers offer premium data services. Satellite imagery is ubiquitous in the media and new sensor technology is being used in everything from bio-hazard detection to precision agriculture. These industry factors are converging to not only help launch new products or software applications but entirely new businesses.
We find ourselves in an era with new and exciting opportunities for entrepreneurs as well as existing enterprise computing solution providers and systems integrators. That's the challenge for us at the 2007 LI Conference - to bring together the players that will be change agents for future location intelligent solutions.
